Automated lead scoring and qualification
Most teams treat lead scoring as a CRM problem. It's actually a funnel problem — the moment a prospect answers a question, you already know enough to score, tag, and route them. Here's how to automate the whole thing inside Yectar.
What lead scoring actually is
A lead score is a number (or tag) that summarizes how ready a prospect is to buy. Budget, timeline, team size, and use case each add or subtract points. The output tells sales who to call first — and tells marketing who to keep nurturing.
Step 1 — Ask the qualifying questions
Drop question nodes for budget, timeline, company size, and use case. Keep it under six questions — every extra field cuts completion rate. If a question doesn't move the score, cut it.
Step 2 — Score with /calc
Add a /calc node that adds points based on each answer: budget over $10k = +30, timeline "this quarter" = +20, team size 10+ = +15. The graph makes the scoring visible — no hidden fields, no spreadsheet.
Step 3 — Tag with /if
Branch on the score. 60+ points → tag hot-lead and route to a "book a call" end node. 30–59 → warm-lead and drop into a nurture campaign. Under 30 → cold-lead and send educational content.
Step 4 — Sync to your CRM
Yectar's Scale plan pushes the score and tags to your CRM on submit — HubSpot, Pipedrive, Attio, or a custom webhook. Sales sees the qualified leads sorted by score; marketing sees the rest already in the right nurture list.
Step 5 — Trigger the right follow-up
Because Yectar's email campaigns share the same graph, the tag that gets set at submit time is the same tag that routes the follow-up. Hot leads get a same-day booking link; warm leads get a five-email drip; cold leads get a monthly digest. One flow, no Zapier duct tape.
